<Email settings Send settings 1>
1. Simple send email settings
Task automatically performed with settings for typical email settings
2. SMTP (send) server
Set server for sending of emails.
3. Port number
Set port number of SMTP server.
Port number will differ depending on secure settings and security settings.
Basic port number
- When security function is OFF, No. 25
- When security setting is STARTTLS, No. 587
- When security setting is SSL, No. 465
4. Secure setting
Secure settings performed to send email. Set in response to the conditions for your SMTP server.
- Off:
Secure is set to Off. Although emails are sent without a user ID or password, sending is not possible to a SMTP server having a secure requirement such as external email
(Gmail, Yahoo email etc.).
- POP before SMTP: A method of sending email by use of POP verification (receiving server). Settings are also required for POP (receiving).
- SMTP Auth: Sending email by user verification.
5. Security functions
Encryption settings are perform when sending email. Set according to condition of SMTP server.
- Off: Encryption not used.
- STARTTLS: Mixed method of encrypted SMTP communication and normal SMTP communication.
- SSL: Method of communication using total encryption.
6. Verification settings
Set verification method with SMTP server. Set according to condition of SMTP server.
- PLAIN: Method of verifying by normal text.
- CRAM-MD5: More secure method of verification.
7. User ID
Set when secure function is set to SMTP Auth. Enter user ID for STMP server verification.
8. Password
Set when secure function is set to SMTP Auth. Enter password for STMP server verification.
9. Make same as POP account
When making the same as POP (receiving) account, common settings are enabled by checking the box.
